A post a day after valentines day but about valentines day only shows how busy I was on the V day. No it was not the usual 'I love you' and 'chocolates' day for me. But rather a lightbulb that glowed in my creative mind.

I have been waiting to make a quilled earring, use a beehive technique for the first time ever and all this had to happen on the day of love with the things I love to do the most - CRAFT

And so then what happened is .. I drew the whole sketch mentally then got to working right away. Completed one and then pulled out my tripod, attached my camera, set set set and made a video of how to go about it.

Yes you heard me right! A Video! A Tutorial! A Free Pattern!

Because I love you crafters so much I am putting my extra time and effort, going that extra mile. Editing my video as I type this post on another window (computers a meant to multitask, aren't they??)

So when done I will upload it on my new youtube channel, that would be the first ever upload and will keep you updated on when that happens. In the meantime please check the pic below of how it turned out.

And wonky yeah! Don't you see it was not a perfect heart after all just like all of us. A bulge here and there - not perfect, yet one that asks to be loved and in return gives as much love and care

Quilling has driven me crazy for quiet sometime now. Everything I look around begs to be wound in strips of paper. My own wedding gown for instance. After imagining and planning for days, I created a bride with gown that matched mine, well almost! And it wouldn't be complete without a groom. So here goes my version of the quilled couple....

Well my intention was to add the couple but looks like it would take a while before the groom can find his way out of my husbands camera. Blame his busy schedule. The bride is ready and beautiful. Let's talk about her for a while and groom would arrive for sure.

These flowers will never wilt
They will never cease
No matter how you tilt
Greener will be the leaves
**This is called senseless poetry by Evita ;)**

My first quilling wonder with scrap paper.  This is one of the ways I found to recycle paper waste. Colorful papers are available in the market. But why buy them when it could be availed at home. Let me caution - making the paper strips is very painful. Well as the saying goes 'No gain without pain'. Though the end result is not the best as would be with quilling paper, yet it gives a lot of satisfaction of reusing unwanted material and ofcourse it works cheaper.

Materials used - paper, glue and quilling tool
Green paper is a soap cover - I'm sure you can notice some fine print on it
Red paper are cut outs from magazines
Size- 2 cms diameter - true!! its miniature craft

Most important of all, I have 'freely hired' a photographer to do all photography for me. And I grandly introduce him to you with trumpets and drums playing in the background. The man behind the scenes - my hubby and if you are on Facebook check out his amazing pictures here. If your not on FB then my blog will continue to showcase his skills for you.

Evu..
